Seminar on the heritage restoration of the new seat of the National Heritage Institute in Ostrava

The National Heritage Institute, Regional Specialist Workplace in Ostrava, invites you to a professional seminar on the restoration of a modernist building at 1941/1 Resistance Street, Ostrava – Moravská Ostrava on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at 10:00 AM in the NPÚ meeting room, ÚOP in Ostrava. The building of the former district social and health institute became the new headquarters of the workplace in September 2015. The seminar will be opened by the general director of NPÚ Naďa Goryczková and the director of the regional workplace Michal Zezula. The implemented architectural-historical research will be presented by Martin Strakoš and Romana Rosová. The concept of utilizing the new administrative building will be discussed by Miloš Matěj. The project of restoration and reconstruction of the building will be outlined by Marián Jurga from the MS-architects office. Marie Bartošová will focus on the course of the heritage restoration. Jan Zástěra will evaluate the process of heritage restoration from the perspective of a representative of the contracting company and compare it with experiences from other projects. The restoration work will be commented on by Jaroslav and Adam Jakubkovi. Jakub Ivánek and Tomáš Skalík will discuss the issues of rescue and installation of the restored statue Direction. Participants of the seminar will also have access to an exhibition on the district social and health institute and the development of healthcare facility architecture. The anticipated conclusion of the seminar, including a guided tour of the building, is at 4 PM.
