Strike at the Box Factory without Shoes
A quiet resistance of one architect against the rigid construction industry of post-war Zlín. Šebestián Zelina, like most Zlín architects, still stands in the shadow of the great personalities of the Baťa era. Through his confident creative work, he stands out from the uniform architecture of the politically defined environment of the Zlín region.

November 9, 2009 Vendula Opletalová (Faculty of Architecture VUT Brno)
Private Garden, Public Park - The Best of the Second Half of the 20th Century
A private garden must be naturally perceived as a cleverly designed exterior of a house, as a space with a long history, whose elements undergo changes in connection with changes in lifestyle, architecture, and design, but the fundamental essence remains the same. Eight private gardens and eight different solutions for publicly accessible parks will be presented.

"Taking Off the Coat" - Ferdinand Hrách: Architecture between Historicism and Modernism
The turn of the 19th and 20th centuries can be characterized in architecture as a time when individual buildings move towards gradually shedding the "coat" of historicizing stylistic forms. The "end of old times" is also foreshadowed by the work of Vienna-born Ferdinand Hrách, who significantly influenced the appearance of Brno's "Ringstrasse" with his buildings.

November 23, 2009 Jaroslav Sedlák (graduate of the Faculty of Architecture VUT Brno)
Finnish Architecture
A flight through contemporary architecture with a hint of solitude. In a country where the ratio of people to sauna is 5:1.

November 30, 2009 Lenka Kočišova (Faculty of Fine Arts VUT in Brno)
L to the B to the C to the D
or nicely in order... Presentation of the recording of the audiovisual dance performance "L to the B" (premiere April 2009, Fléda, Brno). An interpretation of contemporary tendencies in connecting various types of artistic expression; from video art, VJing, DJing, or live electronic music production to abstract dance expressions of a specific story. And how to wrap all this up with graphic design or fashion trends.
