Lectures

The anatomy of functionalist architecture, or how the rapid development of modern building materials and components influenced a new aesthetic of buildings and enabled the realization of what long remained in the realm of difficult-to-imagine dreams.

The lecture will address structural, block, and alternative building materials such as solomit, including sophisticated windows, also from the perspective of heritage conservation issues.

The 12th edition of the open lecture series on heritage is organized by the Institute of Heritage Conservation and the Institute of Theory and History of Architecture FA CTU in collaboration with ČNK ICOMOS.
