Searching for the center

On the guided tour of the city, we will focus on the questions of the development of the town of Blansko:
Where is the center of Blansko? How has it changed over the years? What defines the center of the town and what does it mean for its residents? Come and take a look with us at the development of Blansko from the perspective of historical architecture.
The guided tour will be led by Mgr. Jan Štětina from the National Heritage Institute and Ing. arch. Jaroslav Sedlák from VUT.
SITU is a new long-term project of the Gallery of the town of Blansko focused on events in public spaces. Guided tours, interventions, discussion panels, creative workshops, and temporary artistic works from April 23, 2022 - September 11, 2022. SITU deals with the potential and possibilities of utilizing urban spaces not only for artistic activities. The goal is to spark interest in one's own town and to start thinking together about the strengths and weaknesses of its streets, squares, courtyards, and parks, as well as the ways they are used. SITU includes guided tours, interventions, discussion panels, creative workshops for children and adults, and temporary artistic works placed in public spaces. The Gallery of the town of Blansko is operated by KSmB, and the project takes place with financial support from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
