It is already clear that health will be a fundamental topic of 2020. Healthcare facilities and hospital complexes are an integral part of the organism of cities. What role did they play in the past? What might their regular functioning look like in the future? What does modern architecture in healthcare environments look like? And how can today's cities effectively prepare for potential pandemics? You will find out all this at an online lecture by CAMP on architecture, urbanism, and health. It will be led by Professor Cor Wagenaar from the University of Groningen and Delft University of Technology, who is a co-author of the recently published book Hospitals: A Design Manual, which describes the fundamental developments of hospitals in recent years. The event will be streamed on Facebook.

Healthcare facilities and hospital complexes are part of the organism of cities. What role have they played throughout history in urbanism? What is and will be their functioning? As part of the cooperation on the Health and City project, Professor Cor Wagenaar (University of Groningen and TU Delft) will visit Prague. In the lecture, among other things, he will open the topic of modern architecture in this area of design. The main partner of the project is the General Faculty Hospital in Prague, not only a significant institution directly neighboring CAMP but also the future organizer of the upcoming architectural competition for a new pavilion in its extensive New Town complex.
