Lectures

In connection with the IBF Building Fair, a lecture by Belgian architect Pierre Hebbelinck will take place on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, in the Rotunda of Pavilion A at the Brno Exhibition Center. The lecture starts at 10:00 AM.

The work of the architectural atelier of Pierre Hebbelinck focuses on various directions of spatial creation, moving from the object to the urban person, while emphasizing architectural work. The studio defines itself as a place of applied research, which involves industrialists, universities, builders, and others. The realizations encompass a broad field of applications of this research, ranging from minimal individual housing to diverse public spaces (social and cultural) dispersed across Belgian territory. In addition to collaborating with craftsmen and photographers, the atelier has been developing its own publishing activities for two years. The lecture will focus on various aspects of research progress and realizations, following a brief introduction to 20th-century Belgian architecture.
