Zlín - The Zlín Commercial and Entertainment Center Golden Apple, which will feature a multiplex cinema with six screens and several dozen shops, will welcome its first visitors in March next year. Jiří Kratochvíl from REIN Holding, the investor, informed ČTK about this today. The construction, which will cost approximately half a billion crowns, is being built right in the center of Zlín at Míru Square.
“It is a multifunctional center that will connect Míru Square with Rašínova and Dlouhá Streets. In four commercial floors, it will offer 70 shops, making it the largest shopping gallery in the Zlín region in terms of the number of retail units,” said Kratochvíl. The center will also include the first multiplex cinema in the region. It will have six screens with a total capacity of 1000 seats.
Near the commercial and entertainment center, a parking garage with a capacity of 268 spaces is also being built. Both buildings will be connected by a completely reconstructed underpass. Construction work for the Golden Apple center began in October of last year with demolition, and the building is expected to be finished in February. The opening of the center is scheduled for mid-March.
