Bystré - At the castle in Bystré, after all clients of the social facility have moved out, tourists could stay. The Pardubice Region wants to find new uses for the heritage site in tourism. Representatives of the towns of Bystré and Polička share a similar view. The Home at Bystré Castle cares for people with mental and combined disabilities. The Pardubice Region is gradually vacating the former social care institutions. They have provided houses or apartments for their residents, and the original buildings are becoming vacant.

According to the regional administration, there is a significant shortage of accommodation capacity in the area between Polička and the borders of the region. "Therefore, there is an opportunity for accommodation, but also catering, and this comes with not too high initial costs, because all the facilities, including the kitchen, are here," said Deputy Governor Roman Línek (Coalition for Pardubice Region). The current laundry will continue to serve the original social facility, but it will also be possible to use it commercially.

In addition, there could be a gallery of paintings from the Hohenems family at the castle, which are currently in storage in Polička. There is also the possibility of an exhibition related to the name of director Vojtěch Jasný, who filmed his two well-known movies "All Good Natives" and "Return of the Lost Paradise" in Bystré and lived here for years.

Another proposal includes workshops for creators of traditional crafts, who could organize workshops for school youth and the public here.

For Bystré and the surrounding municipalities, the castle should become a center of social life and culture. Weddings could be held inside and in the park, and a social hall could be created. The Pardubice Region has so far arranged with the city administration that local doctors will operate in the vacated part of the castle during the reconstruction of the local polyclinic until 2021.
