Perov nad Labem (Nymbursko) - During the relocation of a nationally protected house from Oskořínku in the Nymburk region to the open-air museum in Perov nad Labem, experts for the first time in the Czech Republic moved walls made of unbaked bricks. The open-air museum is being expanded with five new buildings. Dita Roubíčková from the National Heritage Institute informed ČTK today. While the other four cases involve replicas of historical rural buildings, in the case of the protected house from Oskořínku, an authentic structure was uniquely transferred last Wednesday. Roubíčková pointed out that disassembling timber constructions and reassembling them is relatively common in the Czech Republic. However, the relocation of blocks of wall made from unbaked bricks was carried out for the very first time. Heritage conservationists contacted a specialist from the National Institute of Folk Culture in Strážnice during the preparations for the project, who has experience with similar relocations in Austria, and they also collaborated with other experts. The relocation and installation at the new site was carried out by a company that has long been engaged in earthen construction and organizes certified training courses focused on working with clay in cooperation with the Association for Earthen Construction. The numbered house 65 from Oskořínku is one of the last timber-frame houses with a porch. The object is a valuable and typologically unique example of rural construction and the craftsmanship and construction skills of past generations. The open-air museum of folk architecture in Perov nad Labem in the Nymburk region is one of the oldest in Europe. In addition to other buildings, it will also acquire new display cases and information panels, and modernization of the lighting is planned, along with the development of an internal information navigation system for visitors.
