The regional plan does not have 40 percent of municipalities in the Pardubice Region

Pardubice - The spatial plan, a crucial document that regulates the development of towns and villages, is absent in 40 percent of municipalities in the Pardubice Region. Bohumil Burdych from the strategic development department of the regional office informed ČTK about this. Therefore, the Pardubice Region has decided to support the spatial plans by announcing a grant for their preparation.
The region has allocated 4.2 million crowns this year for municipal spatial plans. "As in the previous year, the grant is intended for municipalities and smaller towns with a population of up to 3,000 inhabitants. A total of 52 applications were received," said Roman Línek, the first deputy governor.
Out of 451 municipalities in the region, 272 have a valid spatial plan, which is exactly 60 percent. "It is one of the most important points in rural development," said Petr Šilar, the regional councilor for agriculture, rural areas, and the environment.
According to Burdych, municipalities such as Městečko Trnávka and Brněnec in the Svitavy area, Němčice and Vlčí Habřina in Pardubice, Kostelec near Heřmanův Městec and Krouna in the Chrudim area, or Žichlínek and Hejnice in the Orlickoústecko region have applied for a grant for a spatial plan.
