Prague - Data on all infrastructure could be unified in a digital technical map. Today, the Chamber of Deputies supported the proposal from a group of deputies from all clubs in the initial round, which will lead to its creation. The map is expected to help speed up the construction process. The amendment to the surveying law will now be reviewed by the committee for public administration.
The digital technical map will include updated data on roads, railways, electrical lines, water pipes, gas pipelines, sewers, or data networks. It will contain information about what networks run at a specific location and who manages them.
According to the initiator of the amendment, Martin Kupka (ODS), the map is a significant condition for simplifying and speeding up the construction process and reducing its administrative demands. The tool is expected to be operational from 2023. Reporter Ivan Bartoš (Pirates) noted that the proposal lacks legal binding on the data stated in the map, which could change in further discussions.
The proposers write in the explanatory report that digital technical maps, which would be created and managed according to a binding uniform standard for the entire Czech Republic, are not regulated by legal order.
