Brno - The long-prepared sports and recreational complex Anthropos in Brno will be built by the company Metrostav DIZ for 339 million crowns excluding VAT. Everything could be completed by 2027, said Tadeáš Mima from the press department of the city hall to ČTK today. The company had previously won the contract, but the building authority revoked the construction permit. The city thus terminated the contract and sought a new supplier to adjust the documentation according to a new study and ensure related engineering activities.
Last May, the city signed a contract with the company Metrostav DIZ for the first phase. This primarily involved the demolition of part of the current buildings, complete preparation of engineering networks, and the construction of sports facilities such as inline tracks, multipurpose sand fields, pumptracks, or football fields. The effectiveness of the contract was conditioned on the issuance of a final construction permit and its delivery to the contractor. However, an appeal was subsequently made highlighting the significant impact of the project on the biologically significant area around Anthropos. The scope and location of the sports facilities had to be adjusted against the original intention.
The selected contractor will ensure the adjustment of documentation as well as related engineering activities. "In October, the contract was successfully bid for just under 339 million crowns excluding VAT. The estimated value was 600 million crowns excluding VAT," Mima stated. According to the contract, the contractor is obliged to create the project and obtain a building permit within 15 months from the signing. The entire complex in Pisárky must be cleared in light of the planned project. The city is thus gradually terminating lease agreements. A portion was already terminated in 2022, and now the remaining ones are being concluded.
