Current Czech House: Through the Eyes of Young Architects 2013
/competition conditions/ 1. The Current House Through the Eyes of Young Architects is an international competition aimed at architecture students, with the Czech part announced for the academic year 2012/13 by the Faculty of Architecture of CTU in Prague and Foibos Books s.r.o. in collaboration with FA VUT Brno, FA TU Liberec, FAST VSB-TU Ostrava, and UMPRUM. The competition is also held concurrently in Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Slovenia.

2. A decisive condition for participation is an original creative concept. Both individuals and teams of students may participate, but each team will be presented by one author.
3. The results of the competition will be decided by a professional jury appointed by the organizers. The jury for the 2012/13 edition includes Jana Tichá, Dalibor Borák, Petr Suske, and Ján Stempel. Results will be announced in April 2013.
4. The competition subject is the elaboration of a design proposal for a family house for a family of 4. The aim is to find an architectural solution to contemporary requirements that would reflect the national specifics of historical and modern residential architecture. The organizers intentionally do not announce any further thematic restrictions on the competition projects.

5. Participants are required to properly fill out the application on the prescribed form (see appendix), sign it, and personally submit it along with the exhibition panel and mandatory documentation (in printed and electronic version on CD/DVD) on April 22, 2013, at the Faculty of Architecture of CTU in Prague, New Building, room 864, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Alternatively, it can be sent by post to ensure delivery to FA CTU by 3 PM on April 22, 2013. Or to submit at the collection point of one of the other faculties (Brno, Liberec, Ostrava) by the following deadlines: April 15, 2012, by 3 PM. 6. The national jury may announce 3 main prizes and award a maximum of 2 commendations.
Authors of three additional projects will further be awarded with the book edition "Famous Villas of Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia." The jury reserves the right to distribute the total amount of 30,000 CZK in a different ratio.
8. All works awarded in national competitions will be presented in mid-May 2013 at a international exhibition and workshop in Košice (SK).
9. The three-day workshop in Košice will include winners of national competitions from V4 countries and Slovenia (i.e., 1-2 students from each country who won 1st prize) together with educators from the faculties of the national competition winners (i.e., 1 educator from each country). Costs associated with the workshop (travel, accommodation, meals) will be covered by the main organizer of the competition FOIBOS BOOKS Prague.
10. The project includes touring exhibitions showcasing the work of Czech students in the Czech Republic and abroad. The exhibition models and panels will therefore remain the property of Foibos Bohemia o.p.s.
