Ústí nad Labem - The building that houses, among other things, the ROP Severozápad funding office, was created thanks to a forged certificate on the building permit. This is claimed by today's Mladá fronta Dnes. A renowned architect, who was supposed to give his approval for the construction in the historic center of the city, reportedly marked his signature as forged and is considering how to handle the situation further. The house on the southwestern corner of Lidické náměstí was built between 2008 and 2010 as the headquarters of the construction company EDS, co-owned by entrepreneur and influential ODS member Patrik Oulický. Ústí fans of architecture are bothered by its low visual value, while anti-corruption activists are concerned about the high rent paid by the ROP Severozápad funding office. One of the key signatures in the application for the building permit was also forged, MfD discovered. "I have never seen this building. I never gave my authorization for it,” said architect Petr Fuchs, who was supposed to guarantee that the new building in a valuable part of the city has appropriate architectural value. According to him, the signature on the drawings is forged and he never met with the companies that built the building.
