TODAY! October 20, 2015 - Central European Tree Day - First tree on the boulevard
“The boulevard, a new Prague avenue, has the chance to give Prague a generously developed wide center and a metropolitan stamp.” - Josef Pleskot, architect
We cordially invite you to a tree planting happening from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM on Legerova Street near the Nusle Bridge.
A month and a day after the opening of the Blanka tunnel, on Central European Tree Day, the Center for Central European Architecture continues efforts to transform the Prague boulevard into an urban avenue. A new plane tree (Platan acerifolia Tremonia) will grow at the point where the Nusle Bridge brings the boulevard into the city center. This will become the seed of an avenue lining the north-south connector and another step towards transforming the public space of the boulevard into a quality urban avenue that all residents and visitors of the city could comfortably use.
