The Prostějov Town Hall is networking 50 plots for housing

Prostějov - The city of Prostějov intends to invest approximately 35 million crowns into engineering networks for 50 plots designated for the construction of family homes. However, there are 250 builders interested in the parcels in the area near the new hospital, said Deputy Mayor Vlastimil Uchytil today to ČTK.
    According to Mayor Jan Tesař, engineering networks are an essential basic facility for the plots. The installation will also increase their price. "I expect approximately one thousand crowns per meter, but it is just an estimate. It could also be up to 20 percent more," Uchytil stated. According to him, it may happen that not all interested parties will apply for the plot.
    Currently, the project documentation for the building permit is being processed at the municipal office so that a public procurement can be announced for the contractor. "First, we want to know the cost per meter of the plot. From this amount, the selling price will then be determined," Uchytil clarified. He expects that the first plots will begin to be sold in the middle of the year. The municipality is not considering any specific sales method. Uchytil believes that interest in the plots in the five-hectare area may decrease after the installation of networks. People could start building in the fall.
    Similarly, the Olomouc municipality identified 2.5 hectares of land last year that it offered for individual construction. The plots were sold by envelope method due to high demand.
