Prague - The new chairman of the Czech Chamber of Authorized Engineers and Technicians Active in Construction (ČKAIT) is Robert Špalek. He succeeded Pavel Křeček, who has held the position continuously since 2008. Špalek has a mandate until 2023. Alois Materna was elected as vice-chairman. This was decided by today's electoral assembly of the chamber's delegates. ČTK was informed by the spokesperson of ČKAIT, Soňa Rafajová.

The detailed results of the elections to the board, supervisory board, and professional court will be published by the chamber on its website on Monday, according to Rafajová.

ČKAIT is a public professional organization that was established in 1992 as a self-governing professional organization with delegated functions of state administration. The chamber currently has more than 32,000 authorized engineers and technicians who were granted authorization based on successfully passing the prescribed professional competence examination. The chamber's responsibilities include, in particular, the care of building culture and the shaping of the environment.
