Olomouc - The councilors in Plumlov in the Prostějov region are preparing an extensive project for the construction of a golf course near the Plumlov reservoir and a conference center located in the local castle. They want to realize the investment in collaboration with a private company. This is reported by today's Prostějovský deník.

"We already have the plan for the golf course in the zoning plan, and I believe that its construction would mean good use of interesting locations in the immediate vicinity. We want Plumlov to become a town that attracts tourists," said Mayor Ladislav Otruba to the newspaper.
The first step to launch the project has already been taken by the representatives of Plumlov. They approved a cooperation agreement between the town of Plumlov and Golf Resort company in Prostějov for the implementation of the golf course project and the renovation of the Plumlov Castle.
The Golf Resort company, which had long struggled to establish a golf course in nearby Kostelec na Hané, welcomed the opportunity to invest in Plumlov. "However, we have not given up on our intention to build the course in Kostelec, although it will likely be a smaller, nine-hole course that would complement the large golf area in Plumlov,” stated Vlastimil Kotek from the company.
Plumlov wants to obtain funds for the project from European funds designated for tourism. Tourists would then be offered comprehensive services - recreation by the reservoir, a golf course, and a conference center, complemented by museum exhibitions.
