Prague - For two weeks, the exhibition "Heritage is Fun" will be held in the Ledebour Garden under Prague Castle. It presents newly established educational centers of the National Heritage Institute (NPÚ), which aim to present heritage and care for it to both adults and children. The exhibition also includes models of various buildings and interactive models of Renaissance and Baroque gardens.

The exhibition in Prague will last until June 21, after which it will be held at the castle in Hradec nad Moravicí, the castle and chateau in Bečov, the city gallery Hasičský dům in Telč, and the Archbishop's Palace in Kroměříž.
The exhibition is based on a four-year project, which was developed in collaboration with NPÚ by staff from the pedagogical faculties of Masaryk University and Charles University, funded by the Applied Research and Development Program of National and Cultural Identity (NAKI).
It aims to help increase awareness among children and adults about the necessity of protecting cultural heritage through educational and training activities. The project includes the establishment of seven regional educational centers in Bečov, České Budějovice, Hradec nad Moravicí, Kroměříž, Ostrava, Telč, and Veltrusy.
Their educational activities are being showcased in the unique setting of the historic palace garden, which, along with other terraced gardens under Prague Castle, is the only Prague monument managed by NPÚ. Otherwise, the institute manages around a hundred sites across the country, mostly former noble residences, but also industrial and folk monuments.
The exhibition will be open daily from 10:00 to 19:00. To enhance the experience, the exhibition includes special tools that were created for the educational centers and their programs, such as models of a scriptorium - a medieval writing workshop, a mill, or stained glass, an archaeological profile, a set of historical coins, musical and rhythmic instruments, and models of buildings and gardens. There will also be accompanying programs for schools, which will be free for booked groups.
