Offcity workshops tailored to your needs - invitation
Project Offcity in collaboration with o. s. Město na kole, City of Pardubice and other local non-profit organizations is preparing CITY TAILORED TO YOU, a festival that engages with public space. For three days (September 18 - September 20, 2012), a series of workshops, lectures, discussions, performances, and other activities centered around the theme of public space, culture, and architecture will take place in the pedestrian zone in the center of Pardubice.

Tuesday, September 18 – Thursday, September 20, 2012
A workshop for producing urban furniture led by architects from the association 3*2*1*0: Michal Mačuda, Lea Hawerlandová, Jaroslav Sedlák.
Minimum material and all tools needed for successful assembly will be provided on-site. Each day will include material collection (in the morning), design of the furniture, and subsequent assembly (in the afternoon), as well as releasing it into the public space and photographing it (in the evening). We expect a maximum participation of about 10 people per day and the construction of 3-4 pieces of furniture (group work). This program will repeat every day.
Participation is possible at any time, as well as on a selected day. However, the maximum number of participants per day is 10 people.
The goal of the workshop is to create mobile urban furniture of unique design from materials found around the event location, bringing new and fresh functions to public spaces. Playfulness and creativity are a must.
If you have something that you feel is lacking in the public space, bring it with you, and together we will enrich Třída Míru.
We are happy to help those from outside Pardubice arrange affordable and comfortable accommodation!

Collect sounds, mix them, transform, complete, change, and release them back into the city. A workshop with Honza Kratochvíl, FROM the band DVA, about sound and music.
The workshop will take place over three days, always in the afternoon (4:00 PM – approx. 9:00/10:00 PM) and is intended for a maximum of 5 participants.
PRELIMINARY PROGRAM:
Day 1 of the workshop: introduction - how DVA creates music, how they work with sounds, what can be done with them, sound collection
Day 2 of the workshop: editing and mixing sounds, working with Ableton software
Day 3 of the workshop: final adjustments and releasing sounds back into the city
The workshop will take place at Mezipatra in Divadlo 29.
Each participant should have their own laptop, and other technical equipment will be provided.
We are happy to help those from outside Pardubice arrange affordable and comfortable accommodation!

A workshop that will introduce you to possibilities and ways of executing guerrilla actions and dancing in the street under the guidance of dancer Zuzana Drahorádová, who is committed to contemporary dance.
How can the city be used?
Is it possible to be inspired by the natural flow of the street?
How to intervene in such a flow?
The workshop will take place throughout the day (approx. 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM) in the public space of the city on Třída Míru, divided into approximately two hourly blocks. However, participation for the entire day is also possible.
