Prague - The Ministry for Regional Development (MMR) has prepared 20 million crowns from national grants for municipalities for the development of territorial plans and an additional five million crowns for architectural and urban competitions. The maximum grant for one project is 400,000 crowns. Applications can be submitted from today until January 31, or February 15, 2019. This was reported today by MMR spokesperson Veronika Vároši.

Municipalities, with the exception of the capital city of Prague, municipalities with extended competence, and municipalities that have already received funds for these purposes from European Union grants, can apply for grants for the development of territorial plans.

The amount of the grant for one project is a maximum of 80 percent of the actual incurred costs, up to 400,000 crowns. Grants can be provided to municipalities that either do not have any territorial plan, or their existing plan was approved before 2007.

Grants for architectural and urban competitions are aimed at supporting these competitions. The support will only cover part of the total costs of the competition, specifically for the prizes and awards specified in the competition conditions. Maximum support is up to 50 percent of the total amount of prizes, with a maximum of 400,000 crowns for one competition.

More information about the conditions is available on the ministry's website.
