The proposal for the cadastral law increases the number of paid services

Prague - The proposed cadastral law, which the government will discuss this Wednesday, increases the number of paid services from four to twenty. It introduces a fee of one thousand crowns for registrations that have so far been free. The changes will affect most Czechs.
     The head of the national cadastral office, Karel Večeře, told the newspaper that the proposal responds to the enacted Civil Code and introduces new types of rights. "We currently record four types of basic reports, but there will be twenty new types. However, the upcoming regulation is primarily based on the principle of material publicity, which ensures that one can rely on the registrations in the cadastral register," he added.
     A fee of 1000 CZK is to be paid, for example, for the removal of a mortgage from the land register. "Removals were carried out free of charge, only with the confirmation from the bank. The new rule will apply to up to 200,000 cases annually," says Večeře. A thousand crowns will also need to be prepared by anyone wishing to transfer their share in an apartment building to their ownership.
