Brno - The functionalist building of Moravian Typography on Moravian Square in Brno, built in 1921, is being reconstructed after years of neglect thanks to the Zlín-based development company Cream Real Estate. The work is planned to be completed by the end of this year. Offices are already being offered for rent. The building will also house shops, and there will be a restaurant in the underground section, said director Martin Jarolím in a press release.

The building, located in the northern part of the square, was primarily known to journalists and printers because newspapers were set, printed, and distributed from here until the 1990s. In recent years, parts of it were rented out to smaller companies.

The building has eight above-ground floors and one underground floor. The first floor is still intended for shops, and above that, there will be offices. "So far, this is one of our largest projects. Our goal is to revitalize the building, which will offer tenants comfort in the city center. Moreover, Moravian Square is set to undergo extensive reconstruction in the future," Jarolím stated. The cost of the reconstruction was not disclosed.

By the end of the year, a larger portion should already be rented. The developer offers customers tailor-made office solutions, which is currently a major trend. At the same time, there is a high demand for offices in the city center or nearby, which employees perceive as a benefit. Many companies have moved from office buildings on the outskirts closer to the center, even though parking is more complicated here.

The Cream Group is a grouping of companies under the management of the closed fund Cream Sicav. The main activities of the fund and the subordinate companies of the group involve seeking investment opportunities and their realization, acquisitions, and restructuring of companies, as well as real estate activities. The group currently manages more than 100 properties in 62 cities across the country.
