Prague - The Ministry for Regional Development (MMR) will contribute up to 160 million crowns for the construction of care and entry apartments. The grant for building one apartment will be a maximum of 600 thousand crowns, the ministry stated today on its website. For the reconstruction of non-residential premises for the entry apartment, the ministry will contribute up to 550 thousand crowns. "An entry apartment can also be created by purchasing or auctioning. In such a case, it is possible to obtain 80% of the acquisition costs, but no more than 400 thousand crowns per apartment,” added Minister Karla Šlechtová. According to the MMR, a care apartment is intended for social housing for individuals in unfavorable social situations caused by age or health status. An entry apartment serves people whose unfavorable social situation has been caused by the social circumstances of their lives and who do not have access to housing. Municipalities, entrepreneurs, and legal entities can apply for a non-repayable grant. The MMR accepts applications until March 13. The ministry has published further information on its website. The MMR will also hold two informational seminars, which will take place on January 14 and 21 at the City Library in Prague. In addition, the MMR plans to start accepting applications for grants for the construction of Senior Community Houses (Kodus) during the first quarter of this year. The contribution for one apartment within this support will be a maximum of 650 thousand crowns. A single recipient will not receive more than 500 thousand euros (currently 13.83 million crowns) over three years.
