Metrovize / Prague Metro 1926-2020: invitation to the book launch at CAMP
We invite you to the book launch of METROVIZE, which will take place this Sunday, December 1, 2019, at 5:00 PM at CAMP (Center for Architecture and Urban Planning) in Prague, with the participation of the author Jan Charvát and the graphic designer Jan Matoušek. This event for all fans of the metro, design, and architecture will be part of the PhaseBook alternative book sales fair.
Why Metrovize? Because this book is a unique work that draws inspiration from the aesthetics of Prague's metro orientation system. A guide to Prague's underground that has no equal. A chronicle of the history, present, and future of the Prague metro in architectural visualizations and perspectives from 1926–2020. Inside, you will find never-realized projects from 1926 to 1966, historical designs by architects Václav Aulický and Stanislav Hubička. But also visions of the future from the proposals of the architects of Metroprojekt and architecture students.
