Litomyšl (Svitavy Region) - Litomyšl has decided to support the construction of family houses and apartments in the area of Na Prokopu. In the spring of next year, 45 building plots will be created there, costing 990 crowns per square meter. The councilors approved that if people build and complete their houses within three years, the city hall will return 150 crowns per square meter.

"We want the plots to be purchased by people who genuinely want to build family homes there and will not speculate on the land," said Mayor Michal Kortyš (ODS).
The project was initiated by a private developer who purchased land in the area and proposed to invest in plots for the construction of family houses. Since the city also owns land in the vicinity, it joined the project. In collaboration with city architect Zdeňka Vydrová, a zoning study was created. A total of 45 plots will be developed, with two access roads. Most plots are designated for family homes, while some are for row housing. The city and the developer will share the costs of road and utility construction.
According to Kortyš, the private investor should first build a model house. The construction of utility networks will begin next spring.
