Jihlava - The Vysočina region has canceled the public tender for the sale of the castle in Těchobuz due to measures against the spread of the coronavirus. The heritage-protected property, which was last used as a social institution, was offered for sale for the fourth time, and the minimum required price has been gradually reduced to 6.5 million crowns. According to a document discussed by the regional council today, it was not possible to complete the tender process at this time. The spokesperson for the region, Jitka Svatošová, informed ČTK about the approval of the proposed resolution.

The last intention to sell the castle was discussed by regional councilors in January this year. According to data on the region's website, several potential buyers attended subsequent viewings. They were to deposit a security by March 20, and the tender to determine the ranking was to take place three days later. However, the regional office informed potential applicants that this process was canceled due to measures against the spread of the infection and that it would be announced again later. The regional council approved this procedure today.

The sale concerned the castle complex, which, including the land, has an area of 11,500 square meters. Clients of the social institution gradually moved out by 2015. Initially, the region wanted at least 12 million crowns for the castle, and in subsequent rounds, the price gradually decreased. The two-story castle dates back to the 16th century and has been partially renovated within. According to earlier data from the region, there are modern extensions in the area, which include a garage and storage.
