The region wants to complete the construction of a retirement home in Uhlířské Janovice

Prague - The Central Bohemia Region will have a study and project documentation prepared for the completion of the retirement home in Uhlířské Janovice in the Kutná Hora region. The plan was approved by the regional council today, said Berill Mascheková, the spokesperson for the regional administration.
    The building began to take shape in the late 1990s. However, construction was halted after some time by the then founder, the district office, due to excessive cost increases. After the abolition of districts, the region became the investor, which deemed the project unfortunate and sought a buyer for the building. According to previous information, the estimated market value of the unfinished facility is 40 million crowns.
    The completion of the retirement home was approved by the county representatives more than a year ago. Governor David Rath (ČSSD) said at the time that the completion would cost 160 million, around 100 million had already been spent according to him.
    Mascheková stated today that the new project aims to increase the capacity of the beds. The original documentation planned for only 60 beds, but it should now be up to 135, including for immobile clients. The rooms will be a maximum of double occupancy, and the entire building should be fully accessible.
    "The home will also have a laundry room, kitchen, dining room, social room, garages, and parking facilities. There will also be a doctor's office, pedicure service, and hairdressing salon," the spokesperson added.
    The region expects that after the completion of the building, the number of people awaiting placement in this type of facility, which is currently around 4,000 in the region, will be partially reduced.
