The investor took over the Czech Post Office at Sněžka from the builders

Pec pod Sněžkou (Trutnovsko) - The new Czech post office at the summit of Sněžka has been taken over by the investor from the builders. Pavel Klimeš from the construction company Klimeš, which was responsible for the project, informed ČTK about this today. The investor initially refused to take over the building due to certain defects in the construction. The timeline for the post office to become accessible, which President Václav Klaus opened in August as unfinished, remains unclear.
    The investor Jaroslava Skrbková took over the post office on December 21, 2007, nearly a month later than planned. The occupancy permit was originally supposed to be granted in December. According to Klimeš, it is necessary to complete the facilities in the underground part of the building and also part of the interior furnishings of the post office before the building can be opened.
    Construction work on the post office, which is made up of wooden parts and glass panels, began in the summer of 2006 with the modification of the foundations of the original Czech hut. The modern building, designed by architects Martin Rajniš and Patrik Hoffman, will in the future provide tourists with refreshments, postal services, information about the Krkonoš Mountains, and also access to a viewing terrace on the roof of the building.
