Moravská Třebová (Svitavsko) - The former minority school on Svitavská Street in Moravská Třebová should be declared a cultural monument. This is proposed by the National Heritage Institute (NPÚ) in Pardubice, which states that the building is an example of a school building by the significant Czech architect of the 20th century, Vojtěch Vanický, in the style of Czech architectural modernism influenced by the Dutch movement De Stijl. This was reported to ČTK by Žaneta Králová from the NPÚ office in Pardubice. Vojtěch Vanický (1898 to 1983) was a student of significant architects Jan Kotěra and Josef Gočár. On Svitavská Street, there are also two houses for state officials designed by him, contributing to the creation of a unified architectural style in the area. According to heritage specialists, the school represents a unique realization of this type and is also a significant representative of school architecture from that period in the Pardubice Region. It has been largely preserved in its authentic state. The building was constructed between 1925 and 1927 for the Czech minority in an area predominantly inhabited by German-speaking residents. At the time of its establishment, the school had two classes, with a reserve third class used as a gym in the winter. The facility also housed a kindergarten with a nursery. Today, it serves the Regional Charity of Moravská Třebová.
