Blansko is trying for the second time to sell its tallest building

Blansko - Blansko is attempting for the second time to sell its tallest building, which is a ten-story structure in the city center. The building is dilapidated and needs renovation. The city council offered the building for sale in February. However, no suitable buyer was found. The city council thus decided to offer the building for sale once more. If it does not succeed, it will take care of it itself.
    "We hope that this time we will have serious interested parties. The deadline is until April 12. Representatives from some companies have already visited the property," said the deputy mayor of the city, Ivo Polák, today to ČTK.
    Only one interested party responded to the first call for the building. They wanted to buy it for about one million crowns. They intended to create public restrooms in it. However, Blansko does not need them. About 500 meters from the high-rise building, there are modern toilets operated by the city office.
    The building from the 1970s can be converted into a parking garage, hotel, starter apartments for young people, or offices. The city also considered its complete demolition. The structure is clad in large glass windows that do not seal properly. Cracks allow air to flow through, leading to significant heat loss, and the interiors need modernization as well. The building is currently empty. It previously housed the tax office.
