Lukáš Blažek (*1980 Olomouc) studied architecture under Prof. Ivan Kroupa at the Czech Technical University in Prague and later graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. In 2010, he co-founded the studio Ječmen in Olomouc with Eva Casková. He is a co-holder of the Construction Forum Award "Pilot in Architecture" from 2010 for the design of a building demonstrating the development of human settlements (in the category of studies): Development of the area of Hynčice under Sušín.
The work of studio Ječmen encompasses a wide range of projects: playgrounds and the conversion of a boiler room into changing rooms and a gym in Tršice, Regional Education Center of Zábřežsko, and the conversion of the Pivoňka area into the Ecological Center Pivoňka in Pivonín on Šumpersko. For the Kraličák guesthouse at the foothills of the famous massif of Kralický Sněžník, they received the Grand Prix of Architects in 2014 in the New Construction category.
