Martin Rajniš

The exhibition will present Martin Rajniš as an architect and a traveler. The architectural part will showcase realizations and projects, while the visual part will consist of travel photographs. Visitors will have the opportunity to get to know Martin Rajniš and his life philosophy through several films (L. Králová, R. Vávra, Š. Caban, V. Šmerák).
On the occasion of the exhibition, Mr. Architect published a publication including his lectures and reflections.
Martin Rajniš is among the most renowned Czech architects and is the holder of numerous awards. According to his design, the new Czech hut on the summit of Sněžka is currently being completed, a building that "undresses and dresses" according to the weather. The work of Martin Rajniš's architectural studio e-MRAK increasingly departs from the established methods of architectural creation and even common construction practices. As a result, works often emerge that are more artifacts than buildings. Rajniš does not hesitate to push the boundaries of building law, legal procedures, and advocates for the freedom of independent creation. It is neither an easy nor a lucrative path, but it brings joy, impulses, and new perspectives on architecture. There is also no doubt that this style is purely Czech, independent of the international scene, and could represent one of many impulses bringing the Czech lands back onto the "map" of modern architecture, where they undoubtedly
belong.
