Exhibition of Le Corbusier at NAi

On Saturday, May 26, 2007, an exhibition titled "Le Corbusier – The Art of Architecture" began at the NAi in Rotterdam. The press release states: The greatest and most famous architect of the 20th century is Le Corbusier, and thus the NAi has prepared a world premiere showcasing his life's work. NAi fittingly called Le Corbusier the Picasso of architecture. For the first time in Dutch history, the work of this Swiss-French master will be presented at the NAi. The exhibition will feature 450 design objects, pieces of furniture, building and city designs, drawings, paintings, photographs, textiles, collages, films, and sculptures, which come not only from LC but also from his contemporaries Picasso, Braque, Ozenfant, and Léger. The last comprehensive exhibition on Le Corbusier took place 20 years ago at the Centre Pompidou, and it may be that another will have to wait another twenty years.
