At the MAK on the Vienna ring road, an exhibition of graphic works by architect Günther Domenig will begin tomorrow and will last just under three weeks. A total of sixteen of his projects are documented in 214 drawings, sketches, and photographs. However, the central object of the entire exhibition is the “Steinhaus” - the architect's own house in Carinthia, which has been in progress for over thirty years and is still not finished.
Günther Domenig is one of the most prominent figures in Austrian avant-garde architecture. His sculpturally expressive buildings were a precursor to what the young generation fully unleashed with the help of computer technologies. Entry to the MAK costs 8 Euros. However, it is free on Saturdays. Link>
