Architect David Nixon's lectures for architecture students and the general public will be accompanied by the opening of the exhibition "On the Edge of the Universe."
Architecture in space and space architecture on Earth are the main themes of the unique exhibition showcasing 42 projects that summarize the life’s work of British architect David Nixon, a pioneer in the field of space architecture and long-time colleague of Jan Kaplický, with whom he founded the studio Future Systems. In addition to projects such as a prototype dining facility for the International Space Station, a lunar base concept from 1985, or a lunar wall, the accompanying program of the exhibition will feature two lectures by David Nixon, Google Hangouts with Scott Howe from NASA, and several film screenings.
