An exhibition of fifty photographs by Walter Zednicka presents architectural works from the years 1919 to 1939, which permanently shaped the appearance of the Austrian capital. Photographs of residential buildings, kindergartens, employment offices, and baths, partly in combination with architectural designs and plans, detailed photographs, and period posters, impressively clarify the wealth of diverse formal solutions and building typologies within municipal architecture in Vienna and invite new reflections on these internationally recognized architectural works. Alongside buildings such as Lassallehof, Rabenhof, and Karl-Marx-Hof, the exhibition also features baths like Amalienbad, Kongressbad, Komenského school, and the Malfattisiedlung housing estate, Lockerwiese, the Rudolfsheim garage, and the Siebenbrunnenfeldgasse employment office, as well as numerous other structures from that era. A catalog is published in conjunction with the exhibition.
