Among the traditional projects of the Architecture Gallery Brno is the presentation of current construction realizations from the capital city of Prague. High-rise buildings are one of the symbols of modern times. Their rapid development brings them to this city, and they undoubtedly become one of its characteristic landmarks today. However, urban planners and architects always face a challenging task here – to reconcile the current trends of new construction with the existing one without disrupting the genius loci of the historical core. Therefore, the exhibition presents the principles of placing high-rise buildings in the city of Prague, the relevance and significance of which can be related to and utilized in other cities with a dominant historic core.
