The dam needs navigation; nature protection rejects it; what does the dam offer everyone else?
Decades-long disputes about the very existence of the dam have resulted in the fact that discussions about the nature of the solution - how such a structure looks and functions in relation to its surroundings - have yet to emerge. For most opponents, this topic is unnecessary, while for advocates it represents the prospect of further delays. Therefore, from the area of the dam, there is now a technical necessity that is yet to respond to the demands for sensitive communication with the place and the people. There are many possibilities and examples of such an approach not only abroad but also in our history. The Ústí region and the floating Cargo Gallery have provided space for a discussion that will take place on March 24, 2016, in Děčín at the marina below the castle. The exhibition and open panel on the form of the Děčín Navigation Weir - After One Hundred Years will present ideas that have yet to be voiced in the project.
