Given its specific geopolitical and cultural significance, South Tyrol continues to be a true chronicle of contemporary architecture. The organization of the first exhibition titled "New Architecture of South Tyrol 2000–2006" in 2006 was met with great success. The curators felt the need to explore this theme in more detail and focus on this dynamic and innovative architecture, which is receiving increasing international attention. An international jury, whose members included Flavio Albanese (IT), Wolfgang Bachmann (D), Bettina Schlorhaufer (A), Anette Spiro (CH), and Vasa Perović (SI), selected 36 of the most interesting projects from 280 submitted projects, which are presented in this exhibition. A comparison with the first exhibition shows that global socio-economic changes have also brought about a fundamental shift in the requested examples. This time, the selection was based on current themes, and the main subjects of the exhibition are instability, the provisional nature of things, narrative, purity, and the question of the contemporary redefinition of the concept of landscape. In line with this perspective, the exhibition was conceived as an evolving poetic visual narrative. The opening will take place on November 5, 2014, at 6 p.m. at the Gallery of Architecture Brno, Starobrněnská 18. The exhibition will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until December 5, 2014.
