After a year that has passed since the dramatic floods, we are returning to the public spaces and the entire cadastre of the town of Jeseník through an exhibition of student designs. The worst damages have long been cleared, but the area is permanently disrupted and threatened. Students of landscape architecture from the Faculty of Horticulture at Mendel University have strived to contribute to the improvement and also to the prevention of risks associated with water. In two consecutive studios, they considered a set of systemic measures for a broader area and also designed specific landscape solutions for individual urban spaces. They collaborated with the town of Jeseník and its city architect on the assignment. Come and get acquainted with the results from September 30 to November 8, 2025, in the foyer of the seventh floor of the Moravian Library. We cordially invite you to the opening with a lecture on the topic of Urban waterfronts and floods – practice, research, and teaching of landscape architecture.
