Double Hit of Ester Havlová

IN THE LEAD ROLE ESTER HAVLOVÁ
The multifunctional space Futurista Universum on Bethlehem Square presents the exhibition Fragments, which is a selection of photographs of public space architecture by Ester Havlová. Despite being an extremely sophisticated selection from the author's previous work, it does not come across as cold in the installation. Perhaps precisely because the exhibition and presentation projects are connected with the trade of Czech design and literature on architecture. In addition to the exhibition, which has free entry, it is possible to purchase the exclusive publication Fragments, for which Ester Havlová, just like for the exhibition, has been nominated for Photographer of the Year at the Czech Grand Design 2009.
The exhibition Fragments proves that Futurista Universum continues to set the bar very high, as after the opening exhibition of photographs by Filip Šlapal Archscapes and after the exhibition by Jiří Jiroutek The Phenomenon of Ještěd, this is once again an exceptional event.

A B C: ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE METRO
The second event at the beginning of 2010, which was presented at the opening of Ester Havlová, is a photographic map of the Prague metro. The concept of the map is based on previously realized maps (Prague Cubism, Prague Art Deco, and Prague Secession), which became very successful products. The map, for which Ester Havlová exclusively photographed and truly "rediscovered" the design and architecture of the stations, as well as interesting features in their surroundings, is equipped with a colorful brochure. It is a small, very "packed" material enriched with a professional yet charming text by Radomíra Sedláková. The functional and clean graphic design of the Czech-English version was taken care of by the graphic studio Carton Clan. Futurista Universum also published postcards with photographs by Ester Havlová for the opening, as was done for the exhibitions of previous authors.
