Brno can look forward to an exhibition about Leonardo da Vinci

Brno - The residents of Brno can look forward to another significant traveling exhibition of foreign origin. After the artifacts from the Titanic, they will see an exhibition about the Renaissance inventor and painter Leonardo da Vinci. Aleš Hrbek from the promotional agency Glanc confirmed this to ČTK today. The presumably most interesting part of the exhibition will be functional models of devices based on Leonardo's sketches.
    "The exhibition is currently in Spain, from where we will bring it to Brno. It covers 1500 square meters. It will present Leonardo's personality and work in all its breadth," Hrbek told ČTK.
    The exhibition will begin on June 18 at the former large-scale construction materials sale point in Brno-Heršpice. The same location previously hosted the Titanic exhibition, which was visited by 70,000 people this spring. Its success convinced the organizers that large traveling world exhibitions can stop in Brno alongside Prague. The exhibition about Leonardo will last until September.
    Visitors will be able to try out several functional models of Leonardo's inventions, Hrbek noted. Leonardo as an artist will be presented to visitors through numerous reproductions of his most famous works. Computers and video projections play an important role in the exhibition.
    Da Vinci (1452 to 1519) was a significant painter, naturalist, sculptor, writer, architect, and inventor. His most famous paintings include the Mona Lisa, Lady with an Ermine, and The Last Supper. Many people find Leonardo's sketches of the human body and designs for combat and flying machines fascinating. Interest in da Vinci has been rekindled in recent years by Dan Brown's successful book The Da Vinci Code.
