In Estonia, an international competition is taking place

An international architectural and urban planning competition is taking place in the southern Estonian city of Võru. The subject of the competition is the conceptual design of a development plan for the site on the shores of Lake Tamula.
The city of Võru, with just under 15,000 residents, is located in an attractive area near five lakes. The competition site covers an area of 8.24 hectares, with a buildable area of approximately 3 hectares. The purpose of the competition is to create a new city center that would attract activities on the shores of Lake Tamula, appealing not only to local residents but also to tourists.
The winner will receive 300,000 Estonian kroons (1 CZK = approximately 1.5 EEK), and the design will serve as a basis for further planning. For this reason, the competition is intended for European architects who have accreditation.
