Subject of the Competition
Preparation of an ideational design proposal for the architectural solution for the restoration and new use of the Veselí nad Moravou Castle.

Goal of the Competition
The aim of the competition is to prepare an ideational design proposal for the architectural solution, both exterior and interior, for the restoration and new use of the Veselí nad Moravou Castle, with the goal of further utilization as a 4-star hotel facility, including suitable restaurant facilities, conference spaces, and a smaller historical-museum part. The part of the building attached to the historical-museum part should also include a private apartment.
The sought objective is an architecturally suitable, environmentally friendly, and simultaneously financially and economically efficient use of all four floors of the building (basements, ground floor, first floor, attic), parts of the former stable, and the carriage house. A proposal for the utilization of the courtyard (the main courtyard of the castle building and the courtyard between the castle building and the stable with the carriage house) is welcomed.

Participants of the Competition
Anyone, whether a natural or legal person, who submits the required parts of the competition proposal by the required deadline, can participate in the competition.

Competition Materials
The competition materials will be provided to the participants free of charge.
The competition materials are prepared in digital form and will be provided on CD upon request by the competition secretariat.

Awards
For proposals that are not awarded but have brought remarkable partial stimuli and solutions, a total amount for possible distribution of awards is set at 100,000 CZK. (in words: one hundred thousand Czech crowns).

Date of announcement of the competition: February 26, 2007

Inquiries regarding the competition can be submitted in writing (via email, fax, or by post), or orally (by phone or in person) to the competition secretariat, which will ensure the necessary answers depending on the nature of the inquiries.

The final deadline for submitting inquiries is set for April 30, 2007.

Date of submission of competition proposals by the competitors: June 15, 2007.
