New designboom competition: 'House Party'

Designboom and DA - design association are announcing a design competition, aimed primarily at students and young designers.

The task is to design anything that can be used for organizing wild parties - chairs, lamps, various gift items, etc. The five best works will be financially rewarded (500,000, 200,000, and 3x100,000 yen (100 JPY = approximately 19 CZK)). The evaluation will focus on originality, attractiveness of the design, cost-effectiveness of production, and in this case, also safety during use.

Contestants can register until September 25, and designs can be submitted electronically until October 5, 2006.
