MACEF DESIGN AWARD 2007

The server designboom and the company Macef are announcing a design competition on the theme "ceramics for breakfast (lunch and dinner)." The task for the contestants is to design a set of tableware or an accessory for dining (vases, pepper shakers, etc.).

Contestants are somewhat limited by the choice of materials: ceramics, porcelain, stoneware, terracotta, and potential combinations of these materials with metal, wood, plastics, etc. Evaluation will also emphasize ease of production.

The winning design will be rewarded with €5,000, and the next three designs will receive honorable mentions and €1,500. The best designs may be realized.
Works must be submitted electronically via the designboom server by December 23, 2006.
