Current competitions designboom

The server designboom is a well-known organizer of design competitions, which mostly focus on unconventional ideas and visions. Currently, three competitions are underway.

500 wants you

In less than 500 days, a new Fiat 500 will be launched, continuing the legacy of its legendary predecessor. In this context, designboom and Fiat have announced a competition focused on the design of stylish accessories for this vehicle and the vision of how the style of the Fiat 500 could be reflected in everyday life. Designers and students can submit their works in one of three categories. In each of them, a prize of €5,000 will be awarded. The members of the jury are not yet known, but designboom promises big names from the world of design, fashion, film, and sports.
Contestants can register until September 5, 2006, and works must be submitted by September 15, 2006, via the form on designboom's website.

the skin of Corian®

The competition focuses on the use of Corian material® in interior design. Two categories are announced - realized interiors and concepts. The winner of each category will receive €2,500. Projects offering unconventional solutions that utilize the properties of Corian, such as light permeability, printability, and production on CNC machines, have the best chances. The competition does not focus on the use of Corian on floors and ceilings, or on small Corian products.
The registration deadline is September 15, 2006, and works can be submitted until September 25, 2006. More information can be found here>

your way to coway

Only a few days remain for registration in the competition 'your way to coway' subtitled imagine your life - design your living. Contestants can send their visions of kitchens of the future, cooking-eating-sleeping environments, or kitchen accessories that could be introduced to the market in the next ten years. The winner will receive €8,000. The competition is held in collaboration with BÜSSEL.
