At the Gallery of Ladislav Sutnar, it was possible to visit a unique exhibition "Zdeněk Fránek: Figures" until April 11. However, the exhibition and all cultural events suffered a blow from the coronavirus pandemic, which left the exhibition behind closed doors. Therefore, the curator of the exhibition, Jan Van Woensel, decided to conduct an interview with the prominent Czech architect Fránek about his work and thus introduce you to the concept of the entire exhibition. You can virtually walk through it in the video here.

Zdeněk Fránek has an impressive portfolio of international projects that are both innovative, intelligent, and entertaining. Since 2019, he has been teaching architecture at Sutnarka. The interview with curator Jan Van Woensel offers insight into his relationship with nature, into architecture as a form of co-creation, and into the future

...."Architecture should be created hand in hand with nature. It should be conceived as a piece, or part of nature. Alongside aesthetics, there is also ethics. But not programmatically, rather as naturally and inherently as possible. An architect must be a co-creator of the world, a co-creator of nature. After all, he is creating a habitat for the dominant creature on our planet..."
