The most famous Norwegian studio Snøhetta designs everything from new banknotes, to chairs recycled from fishing nets, to large public buildings in world metropolises. For the famous Opera in Oslo and the Alexandria Library in Egypt, it received the World Architecture Award and a whole host of other accolades. Among the other buildings of cultural institutions it is responsible for are, for instance, the art museum in Lillehammer or the pavilion of the museum, which is part of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York.
For Snøhetta, social interaction and the combination of traditional craftsmanship with the latest technologies is important. The studio brings together more than 240 designers from 32 countries, who work on projects around the world. Architect Jenny B. Osuldsen will come to lecture about this constantly evolving company. The lecture will be held in collaboration with ARCHIP.
The lecture will be in English, with translation into Czech provided.
